Well, this is certainly a rarity; a comletely safe picture from you. It makes for a nice change of pace.
It's been nearly two months since your last pic, but you have clearly been putting a lot of tha time into this pic. The entire picture looks like it's taken straight from the show. The background is really detailed and Derpy and Dinky are adorable. They look so peaceful and relaxed just sleeping and cuddling together.
It's a nice touch having Derpy resting her head on hernial at, as it just gives the pic a sort of spontaneity; she looks like she met up with Dinky just after finishing up work, or just decided to take a break in the middle of a mail run.
i really love this image. it shows us the true affection that derpy has for dinky and how happy she is for having her. there is always time of snuggles with derpy. I SEE SO MANY DAWS IN THIS I CAN COUNT. also i like the colouring in this, so ALIVE. this artwork made my day, warmed my heart, brought a tear to my eye and give me the buzz to get a dinky plush
This is adorable! It's like i'm cuddling with my mother right now! I used to be small like Dinky. Anyway, I know Derpy is a great mother. The question is: Who Is Dinky and Sparkler/ Amethyste's father? I hope Dr. Hooves!
In the MLP fan story "Derpy's Date", she tells Doctor Whooves that she is actually a young widow. Her husband, whom she met in school, had to leave Derpy and their two daughters for work out of town, but he never made it. That works for me. It's actually a very sweet story and tells us that Derpy is much smarter than anypony thinks.
Another theory, which I am pondering for a series of one-panel fan drawings called "My Little Pony: Two of a Kind", is that Derpy has always been single and her two daughters are adopted. Dinky was left at her doorstep as a little baby, and Sparkler may be an older "foster filly" who comes to live with Derpy because she is kind and caring despite her clumsiness.
I must agree with other Derpy fans... she may be wall-eyed and clumsy, but she's a warm, kind and understanding mom. Her otherwise clumsiness is a reflection of that kind nature.
