As an image it works well to put the viewers eyes on the subject matter without flooding the whole area with them. The subject matter is touching, relatable, and is well presented with both characters body language. The Derpy is done very well; her hair is nicely detailed and flows believable, her stomach looks a little bit out of proportion but that might just be me, her facial expression is very moving and I really feel like i'm looking at a loving mother. Dinky is well sized and adorable as ever, I especially like her little front hoof around her mothers. The background is appealing without being distracting, it does exactly what it should; set the scene. The outlining lines of the bag look just a tad too thick but I may be nitpicking. On the whole I am struggling to find anything wrong with this image. It is not an overplayed idea nor is it ostentatious. A beautiful piece of work that is going straight to my favorites folder. Well done.

First of all this picture is just impossibly cute. The love between this mother and daughter is so well displayed in this picture, yet leaves you with the feeling that there is so much that is impossible to show. That in itself is an amazing feat to pull off. Looking at the picture just makes me feel pure happiness.

The technique of this work is very good and I am fond of the little details that were added in like the letter and the flowers. Those are things that could easily be overlooked or if done wrong could distract away from the picture as a whole, but again you did a great job.

I love the way you handled the colors as strong colors like purple or brown don't stand out from the rest or override the others.

All in all this is a top notch piece and I look forward to seeing more from you.

The cakes children are a pegasus and a unicorn because of distance family members. Who knows Derpy might have unicorn in her blood, very heart warming artwork. Great job.
